Offer · Machinery Regulation

MVO-GO! Are your machines ready for the new Machinery Regulation?

From 20 January 2027, every newly delivered machine must comply with Regulation (EU) 2023/1230. MVO-GO! checks a machine or machine type against the Regulation on the basis of your existing technical documentation and shows you which measures are required before the deadline.

Why now?

What counts is the placing on the market of each individual unit. A machine delivered on or after 20 January 2027 must comply with the new Regulation. This also applies if it was developed earlier. Changes to the control system and the software, as well as coordination with a notified body, require corresponding lead time.

What we check

Essential requirements (Annex III)

We compare each of the essential health and safety requirements with your existing risk assessment.

Software, control system and cybersecurity

Protection against corruption and interference, logging of interventions and software versions, and machine learning in safety functions.

Conformity assessment procedure

Classification under Annex I Part A and Part B, and the question of whether internal production control is sufficient or a notified body has to be involved.

Modification and substantial modification

We check whether a planned or completed change counts as a substantial modification and which manufacturer obligations result from it.

Instructions for use and documentation

Mandatory content, digital provision and archiving for a period of ten years.

Each requirement is rated as “met”, “partly met”, “open” or “not relevant”, and each rating refers to the place in your documentation where we found the corresponding evidence.

How it works

  1. 01

    Enquiry

Send us an enquiry and describe the machines concerned. If you need an NDA, please let us know. If anything is still unclear, feel free to ask us further questions.

  2. 02

    Reply

We send you proposed dates for an initial meeting. If we need further information, we will let you know in this reply.

  3. 03

    Initial meeting

In a 30-minute video call, we record the key points of the machine, its variants and its target markets.

  4. 04

    Documents

You send us your technical documents in digital form: risk assessment, instructions for use, declaration of conformity, circuit diagrams, software version and the list of applied standards.

  5. 05

    Review

We review your documents free of charge to estimate the scope. If additional effort or an on-site assessment is necessary, you receive a separate offer by email. Additional costs only arise if you accept this offer.

  6. 06

    Order confirmation and invoice

You receive the order confirmation and the invoice for the fixed price from us. The check begins once payment is received; it is carried out entirely remotely and completed within ten working days.

  7. 07

    Check

We check your documents against the Machinery Regulation: the essential health and safety requirements of Annex III, software, control system and cybersecurity, the conformity assessment procedure, modification and substantial modification, and instructions for use and documentation.

  8. 08

    Report

You receive the report by email: a gap list sorted by urgency and an action plan with deadlines and responsibilities up to 20 January 2027.

  9. 09

    Closing meeting

A 60-minute video call on the results and priorities.

What the report contains

  • A gap list in which each requirement has a rating and a reference to your documents
  • An action plan with deadlines and responsibilities up to the cut-off date
  • An estimate of the effort for each measure
  • A clear answer to the question of whether a notified body has to be involved

Who is MVO-GO! for?

  • Manufacturers of machinery and partly completed machinery for which technical documentation already exists
  • Companies whose machines use software for safety functions or have remote access
  • Operators and service providers who modify or retrofit machinery

What it is not

  • It is not a conformity assessment, and no declaration of conformity is issued.
  • On-site inspections or measurements are not included. If they are necessary, you receive a separate offer for them.
  • Implementation is not included; it is the subject of a separate order.

What happens next?

The report forms the basis for an implementation order. We design the changes, revise the risk assessment and prepare the technical documentation. If you place the implementation order within three months, we credit the full price of MVO-GO! against it.

Frequently asked questions

Which documents do we need to send?
We need the risk assessment, the instructions for use, the declaration of conformity, the circuit diagrams, the software version and the list of applied standards, all in digital form.
Why is it not necessary for you to come to our site?
Your technical documents are sufficient for the check, because we check them against the Regulation and the harmonised standards. We clarify open questions by video call. If the review shows that an on-site assessment is necessary, you receive a separate offer including travel. After the paid assessment, we carry out MVO-GO!.
Does MVO-GO! replace a legal review?
No. MVO-GO! is a technical check and not legal advice. We check whether your documents comply with the Regulation and the harmonised standards. Responsibility for the declaration of conformity remains with you as the manufacturer.
What does an additional machine cost?
An additional machine of the same series costs from €1,450 net within the same order.
How can this service be offered at a fixed price?
The fixed price applies to individual machines of usual scope. If your machine is so extensive that it results in considerably greater effort, you receive an offer by email after the free review. Additional costs only arise if you accept this offer. Results on the content are only contained in the report.
