Profiling tool for a special semi-finished product
This tool was manufactured to change the cross-sectional shape of a semi-finished product. The change in cross-section was to take place only in specific areas and to be precisely controllable.
Setup
For the shape modification of a special semi-finished product, the idea and a rough direction had been specified. What was missing was the constructive implementation.
Assignment
Mechanical engineering design of the tool, including all calculations. Material selection, selection of bought-in parts and supplier selection were part of the assignment. In addition, standard-compliant workshop drawings were produced.
The manufacture of the tool was outsourced. The drawings therefore had to be standard-compliant and complete.
Result
The tool was manufactured and is in use at the customer's site.
